Villa Overview Sai Taan Phuket has been designed to combine the function of a modern home with an easy flow between indoor and outdoor, enabling open living. Design influences evoke the light and elegance of traditional Northern Thai architecture, with pitched roofs over major living areas. Each villa sits on a plot approx 800 sq m (8,000 sq ft ,half a rai), of lush, secluded landscaped walled garden, with a generous private pool 10m by 4.5m. All rooms open on to the pool, the centre of the house, via concertina glass and hardwood doors. Where possible the existing Banyan (Sai) and tall coconut (Taan) trees have been retained, providing an element of shade, and underscoring the simple elegance of Sai Taan living. The construction makes extensive use of modern western technology, but the finishing in local materials emphasises Oriental imagery. The pitched roofs are finished internally with local hardwood, emphasising the elegance of the structure. The standard Sai Taan villa contains 220 sq m (2,200 sq ft) of covered living space, with 3 bedrooms, including magnificent master suite, with pitched ceiling. All bedrooms have en suite facilities. There is an option to add a fourth bedroom by way of a fully self contained Garden Suite, bringing the total covered living space to 254sq m or 2540 sq ft. Especially suitable for those long staying guests! A huge central living area of approx 64.8 sq m (648 sq ft), compromising breakfast bar, dining room and living room with pitched ceiling, overlooks the terrace, pool and gardens. The concertina glass doors running the length of this area, give directly onto the pool terrace, and when opened create that special tropical ambience for entertaining. Servants’ quarters, laundry & wet kitchen are provided. The architect has specified the villas on one level to ensure complete privacy. >> Click for detailed information of the villas...
